You can bring your own furniture to furnish your room, such as a favourite armchair or their own bed. Some of our residents bring their own curtains which makes the room theirs and more homely. All rooms are bright and spacious with en suite bathroom and we have free wifi throughout the home. Residential care
All of our rooms include internet access, TV aerial and phone sockets for all our residents to use at their will. Of course, our rooms are wheelchair accessible and have nurse call systems included, for if and when they should be needed. We give residents the option to bring in their furniture from home and even their pets, by arrangement, in the hope that this will make their new room feel more like their own.
Your personal washing will be carefully laundered and returned to you, clean and fresh. Meal times are a special part of the day for you to savour tasty food, freshly cooked by our chef to suit you and any dietary needs. And, of course refreshments are available throughout the day for you and your visitors, who are welcome at any time. At the same time, there is no reason why you can’t maintain links with the local community, or develop new friendships and relationships. The option of 2 communal lounges and two quiet lounges means that not everyone has to socialise if they just want some peace. We have a kitchenette for residents and their visitors to use as well as a lift where required. Our relatives’ room provides a perfect opportunity for our residents to catch up with their families in the company of other families. The TV room and conservatory both create the perfect opportunity for our residents to unwind.

We ensure effective liaison with all appropriate agencies involved in a service user’s care. Meals times at Barnfield are protected, and we welcome friends and relatives to join our residents for meals at our nursing home. Snacks, fresh fruit and refreshments are offered to our residents 24/7, ensuring they’re never too peckish in between meals. At mealtimes, we have a choice of 2 meal options on our menu, ensuring there’s something to everyone’s taste. Of course, we understand that sometimes our residents just want a quiet meal by themselves in the comfort of their room; we always give our residents this option. Making sure our residents don’t feel stuck in a rut at mealtimes, we have special and themed meal nights, giving residents a chance to do something different.
